`He was trampled to death,` Mulvey added. Damour was in a vestibule of the Green Acres mall, Valley Stream store early on the day ironically dubbed `Black Friday,` when hundreds of bargain crazed shoppers broke through the exterior doors, knocked down Damour and stepped over him, police said.

Damour`s family have hired a lawyer and say they may consider a lawsuit against the retail giant.
Meanwhile, a New Jersey lawyer on Monday said he has started a fund to help the Free Port High School alumnus` family.

`I am truly disgusted by this situation,` said Al Marmero, who practices real estate law in New Jersey, adding that he is making the first donation of $1,000 himself this week.
Marmero says he hopes that others will contribute to help Damour's relatives, including his mother, a retired housekeeper from the Pierre Hotel who lives in Haiti.

Damour`s mother is expected to arrive in the U.S. for her son`s funeral. Meanwhile, CARIBONE`s Fabian Baksh, told CWNN yesterday he will offer free minutes to the family for them to call relatives in Haiti should they so require. Damour`s immediate family can contact CWNN at 718-476-361 6directly for information on getting to the prepaid calling company`s director.
