news-accident-caribnean.jpgWhen are we ever going to get rid of these young people driving without a valid  license? I got this latest news item in my mail box from Hardbeatnews on Friday. Two Guyanese families in South Ozone Park are in mourning following the tragic deaths of their sons in a car accident.

Devindra Harilal and Christopher Karan, both 18, were killed, cops said, when the car which was driven by their pal with a suspended license, slammed into a guardrail on the Van Wyck Expressway near the Nassau Expressway in Queens, NY.

The car was being driven by Sanjay Misir, who was not supposed to be driving and was also apparently speeding when his 2007 black Dodge Charger struck a guardrail about 12:45 a.m. Wednesday. The impact flipped the vehicle over onto its roof, cops said. The five had to be extricated from the car.

Misir is a freshman at the CUNY's College of Technology. Ramano Sahid and Toshawand Tiwari - both 19 and from Queens – remain in serious condition at the Jamaica Hospital. – Hardbeatnews.com
